The agreement between you and No Lodging Or Fresh Baked Cookies.
Draft. This document reflects how the service is actually built and intended to operate, but it has not yet been reviewed by counsel. It is published for transparency, not as a final agreement.
What this service is
NoLodging is a social network for travellers and locals. Members post where they are going, and other members may propose things to do, people to meet, or places to see.
NoLodging is not a lodging provider, travel agency, tour operator, or broker. We do not own, operate, rent, book or arrange accommodation, and we take no part in payment for it. Members are free to offer each other hospitality, or not; nothing NoLodging itself publishes is an offer of lodging.
Interactions are between members
Any plan, meeting, ride, meal, experience or hospitality arranged through NoLodging is an arrangement between the members involved. We are not a party to it, we do not supervise it, and we do not guarantee that anyone will do what they said they would.
You are responsible for your own judgement about whom you meet and what you agree to.
Local law is your responsibility
Rules governing accommodation, hosting, short-term stays, tourism, tax and commercial services vary enormously between jurisdictions, and can change. If you offer someone a place to rest, you are responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply where you are.
We may surface contextual information about local rules. That information is not legal advice and may be incomplete or out of date.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. When you join, we ask for your date of birth to confirm it; we check it and do not keep it. An account that turns out to belong to someone under 18 is closed.
One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Conduct
Our community standards form part of these terms. Breaking them can result in removal without notice.
You can block any member, which hides you from each other everywhere on NoLodging, and report any member, trip, offer, message or photo. Reports are reviewed by people. We may remove content, and suspend or close accounts, when we judge that it keeps members safe; a report is never shown to the person reported.
Content you post
You keep ownership of what you write and upload. You grant us the licence needed to host and display it on the service. You can delete your content and your account.
Do not post content you do not have the right to post, and do not tag people in stories without their agreement.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that creates risk for other members.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for what happens between members offline.
